Men’s Soccer Earns Record Three All-Region I Selections

MIDDLETOWN, CT. - Marking the largest regional selection for the Wesleyan men's soccer program, the United Soccer Coaches announced Zach Feldman, Aiden Londergan, and Yousuf Saeed as the 2025 All-Region I headliners on Tuesday morning, Dec. 2, following a stellar campaign to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.

Earning All-Region I honors for the first time, Zach Feldman and Aiden Londergan became the first, First Team selections since Liam Devanney '23 while Yousuf Saeed earned Second Team recognition. The trio join Devanney and Evan O'Brien '24 as the only All-Region selections since United Soccer Coaches began serving the award.

The Cardinals finished out the 2025 crusade with 10-5-4 overall record, running a 5-1-4 record in the NESCAC as they earned the #2 seed for the first time since 2013. The Cardinals made their 22nd overall appearance and reached the NESCAC semifinals for the first time in a decade. Earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Cardinals ended their season in the Second Round of the Tournament, falling to Rowan University 2-0 after an 8-1 victory over Lehman College the day prior.

Zach Feldman | Defense
Zach Feldman
A two-time All-Conference selection, the junior defender earns his first All-Region I honors as a member of the First Team. Serving as a captain this season, Feldman was the anchor of the backline, seeing game play in 16 matches, all of which he was seated in the starting lineup.

Feldman, leading a group of underclassmen on defense, carried through the season with just 11 shots per game allowed with 18 total goals against. In point-clinching draws with Conn. and Tufts, the Cardinals held down, helping secure six shutouts for goalkeepers Mathis Blanc and Josh Nadison.

In the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the defense allowed just two shots on goal as the Cardinals dominated the Lightning. Facing the Profs the next day in the Second Round, the defense held the Profs for 43 minutes until the opening goal came with just two minutes to spare in the first half. Feldman rang a shot off the crossbar prior to the opening goal, nearly breaking the scoring for the Cardinals.

Londergan scored the lone goal on Sept. 28 to defeat No. 7 Middlebury on the road before following the performance with a hat trick over Trinity en route to a stunning 1-0 victory over No. 1 Williams to win the Little Three Championship. Facing Amherst in the opening round of the NESCAC Championships, Londergan shut down the Mammoths with 14 seconds remaining in regulation to avoid overtime in a 3-2 showstopping victory.
