WATERVILLE, Me. – The Wesleyan women's swimming & diving team completed its 2024-25 season with a 10
th place finish at the 2025 NESCAC Championships held at Colby College. The Cardinals finished the four-day event with 423 team points, good enough for 10
th place, finishing ahead of Trinity. Williams won their 21
st NESCAC Championship while Tufts is the runner-up.
Wesleyan's A team in the 400 free relay shined as
Mia Dezelic '27,
Olivia Stevenson '25,
Izzy Paez '26, and
Zoe Kuhn '26 combined to finish in 3:31.02, outkicking several teams to finish in seventh place, ahead of Bowdoin, Conn. College, Bates, and Trinity.
Dezelic put together the performance of the Championships for the Cardinals, qualifying for the B final of the 200 back with a time of 2:06.44 in prelims. She then posted a time of 2:05.44 that was second-fastest in the heat, earning her 10
th place overall, the highest individual finisher of the NESCAC Championships this season for Wesleayn.
Kuhn showed well in the 100 free as well, earning a spot in the C final where she placed second in the heat (18
th overall) with a time of 53.01 seconds.
Clara Preisig '25 and
Sara Bohacek '26 both advanced past the preliminary round phoase of the 200 breast. Preisig competed in the B final and finished in 15
th place overall with a time of 2:28.18. Bohacek earned a spot in the C final and she clocked in at 2:27.19 to finish in 21
st place overall (5
th in the heat).
