BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – The Wesleyan men's golf team competed in the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College this weekend. The Cardinals shot 308-313-621 for the weekend as a team, placing 19
th overall out of 20 teams. Amherst won the title with a 556 two-day total.
Johnathan Harlukowicz '27 led the way for Wesleyan on the weekend, shooting a 72 (+1) on Saturday in a round that featured 14 pars and two birdies. He followed that up with a 73 (+2) on Sunday that included a 31 (-4) on the front nine. Harlukowicz birdied the par 3 2
nd hole, then eagled on the par 5 3
rd. He then birdied two more par 3's to finish off his 31. On the player leaderboard, Harlukowicz finished in a tie for 20
th place out of 108 golfers.
Zach Liu '26 was next to finish as the junior carded a 77-79 to finish +14 for the weekend. His first round on Saturday featured 13 pars, including a streak of nine straight holes ending in par. On Sunday he fired in two birdies including one on the par 3 9
th hole and another on the par 4 16
th.
Rounding out the lineup for the Cardinals was
Lev Abramson '28 who shot 80 in both rounds, totaling three birdies for the weekend.
Jackson Hayes '27 went 82-81 and also had three birdies in the two rounds combined.
Nate Lawrence '28 went low on Saturday, shooting 79 (+8) in a round that included four birdies, before shooting 86 on Sunday.
Wesleyan is back in action on Friday and Saturday this coming week (April 18-19) with the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational hosted at Valley Country Club in Warwick.
