MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Wesleyan men's golf team participated in the Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury College over the weekend. The Cardinals placed 20
th overall out of 24 teams in the field. RPI won the event by one stroke over host Middlebury and Trinity.
Ambrose Koo '23 was the top performer for the Cardinals as he carded a 159 (80-79) for the weekend.
Jacob Fain '23 posted a second round 77 on Sunday, which was the low round of the tournament for Wesleyan's contingent, combined with an 84 first round to finish with a 161.
Fisher Hirsch '26 shaved six strokes off his first round 85, carding a second round 79 to finish the weekend third-best on the team with a 164. Rounding out the field for Wesleyan was
Daniel Kraft '23 with a 165 (84-81) and
Owen Cannizzo '24 with a 171 (82-89).
The Cardinals are back in action next weekend with a trip to Williamstown for the Williams Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
