WATERFORD, CT. – Facing 35 teams in the final race of the regular season, the Wesleyan men's cross country team made a valiant showing at the Connecticut College Invite on Saturday morning as the team was led by
Liam Calhoun '26 from Harkness Memorial State Park.
Of those 35 teams, the Cardinals finished in 15
th place with a final point tally of 403. NYU won the invite with 80 points. Rounding out the top five were St. Olaf (95), Williams (128), Amherst (134), and Middlebury (157).
Calhoun, who has been one of the Cardinals' top runners this season, crossed the finish line of the men's 8k blue championship race with a final time at 25:13.0 to place him at 53

Dylan Cote '28 placed 56
th as he clocked a finishing time of 25:18.0. Of 269 runners,
Philip Keith '25 was the final Cardinal to place in the Top 100, taking home 86
th place, and a time of 25:52.2.
With two weeks to prepare before heading to Bowdoin College, the next outing for the Cardinals will be the NESCAC Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2.
