BRUNSWICK, ME. – Running their best team race since 2010, the Wesleyan men's cross country team had a solid performance at the NESCAC Championships with a fifth-place team finish as six finished in the Top 50 and 12 finished in the Top 100 from Bowdoin College's Pickard Field Cross Country Course.
The Cardinals placed fifth out of 11 NESCAC teams with 115 points, their best finish since the team placed fourth in 2010. Williams won the event with 76 points. Making up the Top 5 were Amherst (77), Middlebury (86), Tufts (87), and Wesleyan. The remaining six teams included Bowdoin (161), Bates (187), Colby (221), Conn. (238), Hamilton (243), and Trinity (333). Williams' Charles Namiot won the individual event with a 24:40.81.
Jumping 18 spots from last year's finish,
Liam Calhoun '26 earns All-NESCACÂ Second Team honors with a 12
th place finish to lead the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon. Up to task once again, Calhoun crossed the finish line at 25:02.96, a new career record in the men's 8k, shaving over a minute off last years' time. Calhoun is a first time All-NESCAC honoree.
Alex Kermath '26 was the next Cardinal over the line, beating last year's placement by 59 spots as he placed 16
th overall out of a field of a162 runners. Running a 25:11.74, Kermath cut almost two minutes off his 2023 NESCAC time.

Nate Fogarty '25 ran a 25:27.64 for the Cardinals and coming in just behind him in 28

Will Wise '26, clocking a final time of 25:27.93, a new career record. Freshman
Dylan Cote '28 placed 33
rd with a time of 25:35.72.
Noah Mahoney '27 crossed the line in 26
th, running a 25:40.62, also a new career record to close the Top 50 for the Cardinals.
