TERRE HAUTE, IN. – For the first time since 2015 the Wesleyan men's cross country team qualified for the NCAA Championship, the fifth time in program history, and ran the combined 8k race to a 23
rd place finish out of a field of 32 as they were led by junior
Liam Calhoun at the Laverne Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Wisconsin La-Crosse walked away from the course as the event winner, closing the national championship race with 77 points. Wisconsin Whitewater's Christian Patzka won the individual race outright with a final time of 24:01.6.
With the highest finish since Will Dudek '17 placed 49
th in 2017, Calhoun led all seven Cardinals in the race as he crossed the finish line on Saturday in 105
th place. Calhoun's final time clocked in at 25:14.1, seven seconds off his time at the NCAA Mideast Regional race. Calhoun finishes his junior season as a first time All-NESCAC selection and two-time All-Region and All-New England honoree

Alex Kermath '26, who led the Cardinals in the NCAA Pre-National race in Oct., was the next Cardinal to cross the line with a finish at 135
th. Kermath ran a final time of 25:23.9 to finish in the Top 150 of 294 runners. Kermath was an All-Region and All-New England award winner this year. Â
Noah Mahoney '27 placed at 151, clocking in with a final time at 25.29.1. Mahoney '27 also finishes the season as a two-time All-Region and All-New England honoree. Running a final 25:32.6,
Nate Fogarty '25 came in with a placement at 160.
Will Wise '26, placing at 216, ran a 25:52.2.
Zach Allen '27 with a time of 26:26.3 placed 262
nd.
Dylan Cote '28, who led the Cardinals at the Mideast Regional, placed 288
th with a time of 27:08.5.
