WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. – Leading the Wesleyan men's cross country team with a Top 10 performance,
Noah Mahoney '27 showed out as Wesleyan competed in the Little Three Championship to open the 2024 season against Amherst College and Williams College on Saturday morning.
Amherst won the 6k event with 28 points. Williams filled in between with 31 points as the Cardinals finished third with 68 points. Williams' Charles Namiot won with a time of 18:45.2.
Mahoney came away with a time of 18:59.6 for ninth place. Mahoney closed the morning with a 5:05.7 average mile. Two places behind in 11
th,
Liam Calhoun '26 crossed the line at 19:02.8 and averaged a 5:06.5 mile.
The Cardinals had a small pack of runners closing out the Top 20 as
Alex Kermath '26 placed 15
th with a time of 19:08.6. In 16
th,
Nate Fogarty '25 ran a 19:10.4. Coming in at 19,
Zach Allen '27 finished the race with a 19:19.2.
The Cardinals will host the Cardinal Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the The Wes Fuhrman '05 Trails Cross Country Course.
