WARWICK, R.I. – The Wesleyan men's golf team shot 319-317-636 for the weekend which was good enough for third place out of nine times competing at the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational hosted at the Valley Country Club on Friday and Saturday. Wesleyan's 636 stroke total finished behind Roger Williams (617) and Springfield (627).
Johnathan Harlukowicz '27 led the Cardinals once again, finishing first on the team in all three tournaments thus far in the spring season. The sophomore shot 76 (+4) on Friday in round one and followed with a 79 (+7) on Saturday to finish with a two-day total of 155 (+11) which was good enough for ninth place out of 49 golfers on the player leaderboard.
A pair of Cardinals tied for 17
th place as
Lev Abramson '28 and
Zach Liu '26 each carded two-day stroke totals of 160 (+16). Abramson shot 81 (+9) on Friday and 79 (+7) on Saturday while Liu shot 80 (+8) in each round.
Gavin Sendar '28 was one stroke behind Abramson and Liu, as the first-year followed up his first round 82 (+10) with a 79 (+7) on Saturday to finish with a 161 (+17) which saw him finish in a tie for 19
th place. Rounding out the lineup was
Jackson Hayes '27 who finished with a 169 (+25) for the weekend, finishing in a tie for 31
st place.
Wesleyan closes out the regular season with the Little Three Championship held on Tuesday at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield.
