HARTFORD, Conn. – Back from their annual stay in Florida for winter break training, the Wesleyan men's swimming & diving team competed in a dual meet against Trinity on Saturday and fell by a score of 140.5-109.5. Six first place finishes highlighted the afternoon for the Cardinals with
Beau Chan '29 and
Tomas Gonzalez '27 each landing a pair of wins on the day.

- Wesleyan opened with a first place finish in the 400 medley relay as Ben White '29, Evan Byun '29, Chan, and Gonzalez combined for a 3:36.18, besting Trinity's top relay team by more than three seconds.
- Competing in the 50 back for the first time collegiately, Chan raced to a personal-best time of 26.48 seconds to finish second.
- Chris Winalski '29 continued to shave time off his personal-best in the 50 breast, posting a time of 27.12 seconds for a new PR and first place finish in the event.
- Gonzalez captured first in the 200 fly, touching the wall in 1:58.56.
- Wesleyan dominated the 200 breast, with the top three finishers all being Cardinals, led by Daniel Isman '26 (2:11.44), followed by Winalski (2:12.34) and Byun (2:17.89).
- Isman was also runner-up in the 400 IM with a time of 4:18.63.
- Abraham Laufer '29 was second-best in the 50 fly at 25.14 seconds.
- Chan earned a win in the 50 free, going for a season-best time of 22.94 seconds.
- Jeremiah Tomioka '29 won the 500 free by more than two full seconds with a time of 4:53.08.
Wesleyan is back at home on Saturday with a tri-meet against Wheaton and Bridgeport starting at 1 PM.
