The all-time leading scorer in Wesleyan women’s lacrosse history, Becca Vogel Zylber ’05 produced 176 goals and 37 assists for 213 career points in 57 games played over her four-year career as a Cardinal.
A three-time All-NESCAC honoree, Becca earned First Team honors as a junior and senior, while she earned Second Team All-American honors in her senior year (2005) when she produced 52 goals and nine assists for 61 points in 15 games played. At the time, she was just the second All-American in team history and the first since 1986.
Consistency was the calling card in Vogel’s game, as she posted single-season points totals of 43 as a first-year, followed by 49, 60, and 61 the following three seasons. She didn’t score less than 38 goals in any of her four years, producing three 40+ goal seasons in her final three years, and she didn’t miss a contest, appearing in all 57 possible games.
Her impact was immediate upon arrival in Middletown, leading the team in goals and points as a first-year in 2002, a yearly trend she continued all throughout her career. To this day, she stands as one of just four Cardinals - joining Olivia Lai ’23, G’24, Sarah Orkin ’09, and Caroline Sgaglione ’19 - as the only players in team history to earn three career All-NESCAC honors.
